About Bercy

Cobblestone streets lined with historic wine warehouses make Bercy one of the most atmospheric neighbourhoods in Paris. Tucked away in the 12th arrondissement, the industrial enclave was revitalised in the 1990s and is now one of the trendiest destinations in the French capital. Browse boutiques, relax at al fresco cafes and soak up the village-style atmosphere.

Things to do in Bercy

Lined with leafy trees and heritage-listed wine warehouses, Cour Saint-Emilion is the neighbourhood’s flagship thoroughfare. Today many of the warehouses have been reimagined as chic cafes serving artisan espresso and flaky croissants. Others have been repurposed as hip boutiques, bistros and restaurants. After dark, the atmosphere shifts and Bercy’s local wine bars and music venues come to life.

Housed in a striking building designed by Frank Gehry, Cinémathèque Française screens classic films in a contemporary setting. Arrive early to enjoy a glass of champagne at the bar. Studio courses and workshops offer a chance to learn more about the art of filmmaking.

Parc de Bercy is set on the River Seine and is an oasis of green in the heart of Paris. Once a former wine depot, today the park charms visitors with its tree-lined paths, manicured flowerbeds and picturesque fishponds. The grassy lawns are perfect for basking in the sunshine and enjoying an impromptu picnic. Adjoining AccorHotels Arena is a premier entertainment venue and welcomes some of the biggest names in pop and rock.

Getting around Bercy

Bercy is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. The neighbourhood is serviced by Gare de Bercy Station, as well as Bercy and Cour Saint-Emilion subway stations on the Paris Metro Line 14. The Simone de Beauvoir footbridge spans over the Seine and connects Bercy with the 13th arrondissement. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a 30-minute drive away or one-hour by train.
